GLAS Welcomes Industry Leader Sandra Markovic as Head of the Americas

NEW YORK, NY (October 11, 2022) — GLAS today announced that Sandra Markovic has joined the firm as Head of the Americas. She brings market-leading expertise in institutional debt administration and financial technology development to continue driving GLAS’s U.S. growth.

Markovic joins GLAS from Centerbridge Partners, L.P., where she served as Managing Director of Closing. Prior to Centerbridge, she managed a large team of loan closers at J.P. Morgan Chase during and after the Great Recession. In both positions, Markovic oversaw thousands of transaction closings, including loans and restructurings.

Markovic also brings extensive experience in leveraging technology to automate financial processes. She founded and ran an independent software company, Tracer Technologies, that developed digital solutions for the finance industry. Throughout her career, Markovic has instituted proprietary technology processes to automate client workflows and increase organizations’ scalability.

“I have had the privilege of observing Sandra’s unparalleled expertise on the debt market in the United States for many years,”

“Her industry connections, technology experience and passion for client service will be instrumental as GLAS continues the expansion of our offerings in the Americas.”

Mia Drennan, Co-Chair and President at GLAS

On the heels of its strategic investment from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners in May 2022, GLAS has continued to grow its portfolio of assets serviced across its international offices. Markovic will work closely with GLAS’s global leadership team in Europe and Australia to support cross-border deal activity and maintain alignment of the U.S. operations with the firm’s global efforts.

“GLAS is in the midst of an exciting stage of growth,”

“I am thrilled to reignite my entrepreneurial spirit as we scale our U.S. offerings and continue to build a best-in-class team. I have long admired Mia’s leadership as well as GLAS’s client-first mentality and product innovations. We are in a position to offer unmatched service to the growing American debt administration market.”
