Joe Ernst joins as Managing Director, Regional Head of Business Development, Americas, and Olivier Tabouret as Strategic Advisor, as GLAS marks ten years in the US.
(New York, 3 NOVEMBER 2026)
GLAS, a leading independent global provider of debt administration services, is further strengthening its growing presence in the Americas with the appointment of Joe Ernst as Managing Director, Regional Head of Business Development, Americas, and Olivier Tabouret as Strategic Advisor.
The appointments come weeks after the completion of Oakley Capital and La Caisse’s strategic investment in GLAS and follow the appointment of Sairam Rangachari as Chief Product and Technology Officer in September.
Joe joins GLAS from BlackRock, where he spent 15 years running the Financial Institutions sales team within the cash management business, which manages over US$1 trillion in liquidity assets globally. Prior to BlackRock, he spent 15 years in corporate trust and agency, including several senior roles at BNY Mellon including Global Sales Manager.
At GLAS, he will lead business development across the Americas, working with the global executive team to expand the firm’s presence in the region.
Olivier brings more than 25 years of experience across private credit, global special situations, structured credit and high yield. Most recently a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Belstar Investment Management in New York, he was previously a Managing Director at Alcentra in Los Angeles, London and New York, and held senior roles on the CLO, high yield and distressed sales and trading desks at Bear Stearns.
As Strategic Advisor, he will support the executive team in delivering GLAS’ growth strategy for the Americas.
Mia Drennan, GLAS Founder and CEO, said:
“The Americas is central to the next phase of GLAS’ growth, and with the backing of our new investors, we’re investing in the people to deliver it. Joe and Olivier bring complementary perspectives: Joe knows our industry from the inside after years in corporate trust and agency, while Olivier has seen it as a client, across decades in credit investing and trading. In this newly created role, Olivier will be able to give unique insight into how to build our business to serve clients’ evolving needs. The combination of the two will be invaluable as we scale in the region.”
Joe Ernst said:
“GLAS has built something unique in this market: a truly independent, conflict-free platform with the scale to act on the largest and most complex transactions. I’m looking forward to building on the firm’s strong foundations in the Americas and helping to bring that offering to more clients across the region.”
Olivier Tabouret added:
“Having spent much of my career as an investor in credit, I’ve seen first-hand how much lenders value an independent administrator they can trust when deals get complicated. I look forward to helping the leadership team shape GLAS’ growth in the region.”
GLAS opened its New York office in 2016. Over the past decade, it has grown its US offering from loan agency into a full-service debt administration and corporate trust platform, supporting clients on increasingly large and complex transactions.
Recent mandates include acting as administrative agent and collateral agent on xAI’s US$5 billion senior secured term loan facility, playing several agency and trustee roles on The LYCRA Company’s emergence from Chapter 11, and working on QVC’s US$600 million senior secured credit facility.
