GLAS secures strategic investment from Oakley Capital and La Caisse
GLAS has secured strategic investment from Oakley Capital and La Caisse. The transaction was previously announced in January 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
Under the new ownership structure, Oakley Capital, a leading pan-European, mid-market private equity investor, holds a majority stake in GLAS. Global investment group La Caisse (formerly CDPQ) holds a minority position.
Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, which previously held a majority stake, has sold its stake in the business.
GLAS will continue to be led by CEO and Founder Mia Drennan and the existing executive team, Ethan Levner, CFO, and Joanne Brooks, COO, all of whom are investing in the transaction alongside Oakley Capital and La Caisse. Throughout the year, GLAS has worked closely with its new investors to set its strategy for the years ahead.
Since the announcement of the transaction in January, the business has grown its assets under administration by US$190 billion, reaching more than US$940 billion across private credit, capital markets and syndicated loans, working on some of the largest and most complex transactions in the market.
It has also appointed Sairam Rangachari as Chief Product and Technology Officer to lead the next stage of its technology and product development.
With the support of its new investors, GLAS will continue to invest in its technology and AI capabilities, pursue further acquisitions to expand its international footprint and build upon its leading market position as independent loan agent and bond trustee.
Mia Drennan, GLAS CEO and Founder, said: “Completing this transaction marks the start of the next chapter for GLAS. Since the initial announcement, we’ve kept building. We have made key appointments such as Sairam Rangachari – a clear sign of our intent to lead the market on technology. With Oakley and La Caisse alongside us, we now have the backing to move faster: expanding our global footprint, accelerating our investment in technology and pursuing the right acquisitions.”
