LONDON, 7 March 2022 — GLAS is pleased to announce that Simon Schiff has been appointed Head of Legal, United Kingdom. In his new role, Schiff will lead a team of lawyers in the UK and liaise with the broader GLAS legal team across the globe to refine the firm’s legal offering for clients.
GLAS’s global legal team provides prescriptive, highly bespoke advice to all departments within the firm including transaction managers covering agency and trust roles in the loan and bond markets as well as those supporting enforcements and restructurings. In keeping with its commitment to providing the highest quality client service, GLAS’s internal legal team provides essential flexibility and responsiveness to deal parties as they work to bring complex transactions to smooth closures. Close collaboration between the legal team and transaction manager group enables GLAS to seamlessly process transactions helping deal parties to avoid additional bureaucracy and external legal costs.

Prior to GLAS, Schiff amassed deep experience in private practice at Hogan Lovells on the Debt Capital Markets team, and Simmons & Simmons on the Structured Finance team. He will leverage his extensive knowledge of management in a private practice setting to continue crafting a strong, entrepreneurial legal team at GLAS.
