GLAS are thrilled to welcome a number of new joiners across our global business!

In our London office, Manuj Sharma, Head of Client Services, has welcomed five new joiners to his team. This includes, Sylvain Garrigues and Julie de Roe, who will support the rapidly growing GLAS SAS (our French business) portfolio; and Samuel Luggah, Thomas Kenworthy and Elis Roderick, who will support the UK business portfolio. Sylvain has over 15 years of experience in the Loan Admin and Agency space, and was most recently with US Bank, HSBC and JP Morgan. Julie joins us from BNP Paribas where she was acting as an Account Manager for the Loan Portfolio. She has also carried out a number of Loan Operations and Agency roles at Mizuho Bank as well as M&G. Samuel joins us from Deutsche Bank, where he conducted a number of Client Services and Operational roles within Loan Administration for both Syndicated Loans and CLO’s. Both Thomas and Elis join the team from Barclays, where they worked in the Loan Agency team.

We have also welcomed Eoin Dunne and Leigh Cobb, both as Senior Transaction Managers on the Debts Capital Markets team. Eoin joins us from Citibank and brings with him a wealth of Debt Capital Markets experience. Leigh joins from Deutsche Bank, where she worked as a Default Specialist in the Transaction Management Group within Trust and Agency. Prior to that, Leigh worked at Citibank, as Transaction Manager in the Issuer Services team.

Benedetta Nerici and Melanie Ockenden join as Transaction Managers in the Transaction Management Team. Benedetta joins from Wilmington Trust SP Services, where she spent more than 10 years working in various roles. Her latest appointment was Vice President – Relationship Manager in GCM. Prior to this, she was working at Pederson Group Management, as Administrator & Accounts Assistant, and at UBI Bank, Rome (Italy). Melanie joins from Lucid Agency Services, where she worked as Senior Transaction Manager. She has also previously held positions at Cortland Capital Markets Services, Moor Park Capital Partners, Situs Asset Management and Morgan Stanley Mortgage Servicing.

Lisa Akiri has joined the London Legal team as Legal Transaction Manager. Lisa was previously part of Santander’s Corporate and Commercial banking legal team and brings with her a wealth of debt finance and corporate finance experience, having previously worked in private practice at Magic Circle firms, and more recently for global offshore law firms Maples & Calder and Harneys.

The Accounts team has recently welcomed Louis Leipsegar-Maso and Megan Rutter. Louis is currently studying towards a BA Degree in Accounting & Finance from the Bournemouth University, and Megan interned for a year in the Finance & Strategy team at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

We also welcome Cristina Buonocore in London as Global Head of HR. Cristina joins from GP Bullhound Corporate Services where she worked as Global Head of HR. Prior to this, she worked at Orchard Global Asset Management as Global Business Manager & HR Manager. She spent the previous 12 years at Deutsche Bank, in various HR, programme management and operational roles.

The Compliance team has recently welcomed Sulayman Meer and Sharon Barr as Compliance Analysts. Scott Wijayatilake joins the Transaction Support Group after graduating from Reading University in 2020. Tasha Mahen joins GLAS as Senior Business Analyst. Tasha joins from First Abu Dhabi Bank where she worked as MI & Data Specialist. Prior to this, she was working at Navigator Gas and Fremantle Media Group as Business Analyst. We have also welcomed Annabella Ochen as EA to Joanne Brooks and Office Manager.

In Australia, the team has welcomed Peter Ip as Senior Legal Counsel. Peter joins us from Herbert Smith Freehills, his most recent role being Senior Associate in their banking and finance team. Mathew O’Donohue has joined as Transaction Manager. Mathew is an experienced Transaction Manager and was previously from Westpac. Maryam Torabi has also joined the GLAS Australia team as Senior Business Development Manager. Prior to joining GLAS, Maryam was a Business Development Director at ION Analytics, where she was managing and leading all API related efforts in APAC, and a Senior Relationship Manager at Acuris.

In the US, Martin Reed, GLAS Americas Senior Vice President, welcomes Ricky Chan as a Client Services Associate. Ricky joins from Mizuho Financial Group where he was a Senior Loan Specialist and an Analyst. Additionally, Martin would like to congratulate Sean Allen on his recent promotion to Senior Associate, Client Services, and Diana Gulyan on her promotion to Vice President, Transaction Management.

In our Paris office, we have welcomed Dimitri Nadelgaft joins as Transaction Manager. Dimitri joins from HSBC Continental Europe, Paris, where he worked as Senior Portfolio Manager in Real Estate Structured Finance. Previously, he trained at De Pardieu Brocas Maffei, Paris, as a Lawyer in the Banking and Finance – Structured Finance team. Sarah Escrich also joins the team in Paris as Legal Counsel. Sarah joins from BNP Paribas CIB, Paris where she started her career. Recently, she has worked as a Capital Markets Lawyer, in the Derivatives Securities Group and in the Debt Capital Market team.

We have also welcomed Cordula Uit den Bogaard as Head of Transaction Management of our Frankfurt office. Cordula joins from NIBC Bank N.V., where she worked as Associate Director Agency Management. Prior to that, Cordula worked as a Finance Manager at Hydro Investment Projects, Amsterdam and at Barclays Bank, Hamburg, where she was heading the credit department.
