GLAS supports Public-Private Partnership agreement in Panama

GLAS is thrilled to announce the $281m financing structure behind the Eastern Pan-American Highway Rehabilitation Project approved by Panama’s Ministry of Public Works.

GLAS, alongside many of the biggest global banks, law firms and advisors, supported the first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project in Panama, Ruta del Este of ISA Vias, marking the most significant project financing in the country to date.

GLAS acted as Administrative Agent, Collateral Agent and Intercreditor Agent on the transaction. The successful completion of this financing package signifies and signals the organisation’s growing expertise supporting PPP transactions.

The project will provide a modern and effective road network for the people of Panama, directly generating over 1,500 jobs as well as indirectly creating an additional 3,000 jobs across different sectors.
