Bank and Clients PLC (B&C) is no longer accepting any savings deposits and has repaid the vast majority of its deposit holders.
B&C was not able to repay a very small number of deposit holders. Following discussions with the Prudential Regulatory Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority, a sum of money equal to all remaining unclaimed deposits has been transferred to GLAS Trustees Limited (GLAS). GLAS holds this amount as trustee, on trust for the deposit holders as beneficiaries.
The purpose of the Trust is to hold funds equal to all unclaimed B&C customer deposits in a bank account. GLAS as trustee may not use the funds for any other purpose and is obliged to pay an amount equivalent to those deposits held by former B&C customers who make contact, upon provision of evidence of identity and residence in line with B&C General Terms and Conditions.
