GLAS supports €3.15bn liability management and refinancing for Emeis
GLAS is pleased to announce the successful completion of a €3.15 billion liability management and refinancing transaction for Emeis.
The GLAS team in Paris acted as Facility Agent, Security Agent, Calculation Agent and Administrative Agent across the loan and bond instruments, ensuring a seamless closing of this complex, multi‑layered structure.
The transaction enables the early repayment of approximately €2.9 billion of existing loans and positions the Group to request an early exit from its accelerated safeguard plan, significantly strengthening Emeis’ financial position and long‑term resilience.
This refinancing marks a critical step in supporting Emeis’ mission‑driven strategy, bolstering operational flexibility and reinforcing confidence among its stakeholders across numerous geographies.
