GLAS supports Prosolia Energy in landmark acquisition finance transaction
GLAS is pleased to have supported Prosolia Energy, a leading international Independent Power Producer (IPP), in its latest strategic expansion as the company completes the acquisition of a 229 MW portfolio of operational solar assets in Spain.
The GLAS team acted as Facility Agent and Security Agent. Our involvement helped facilitate the execution of this important acquisition, reinforcing our expertise in supporting complex cross‑border renewable energy transactions.
Prosolia Energy has expanded its footprint with the addition of five operational solar parks situated across Andalucía and Castilla y León. Supported by long‑term PPAs secured with major industrial offtakers, the portfolio further reinforces Prosolia Energy’s standing as a key contributor to Europe’s accelerating renewable energy transition.
This acquisition is a significant step forward in the company’s growth strategy. By integrating an additional 229 MW of capacity, Prosolia Energy is now on track to approach 1 GW of operational assets by the end of the year, advancing its commitment to delivering competitive renewable energy solutions across Europe in distributed generation and utility-scale markets.
